We recently stayed at Moosehead Hideaway (The cutest name for the cutest cabin!) and had the best experience imaginable. The cabin is located just a quick 4-minute drive from town and sits just off the lake on the most charming quiet street. Wi-Fi was offered at the Hideaway and the password was clearly shared on a cute little sign in the kitchen. The cabin was decorated so well & has such a welcoming cozy feel. There was plenty of space for our family with many bed options for everyone. Our kids absolutely LOVED the bunk room upstairs & we all loved the balcony in that room to catch the sunset over the huge trees that line the little street. A few other notable things at this property that we really enjoyed were the piano, the cute little window seat in the front room, the icemaker in the door of the fridge, multiple televisions, the two pellet stoves, and the overall attention to detail when it comes to items that guests might need during their stay. The hosts have really thought of everything. Coffee maker, toddler cot & crib, extra towels for the hot tub, kitchen & laundry extras that really just make your stay so seamless. The cabin came fully equipped with a great kitchen & all the amenities you’d ever need to use while cooking. The laundry room came equipped with detergent & dryer sheets, which was a huge plus for us. Towels & linens were provided throughout the cabin, and everything was very clean and organized. One of the very best parts of this cabin rental was the hot tub on the deck out back. We used it every single night of our stay & it was definitely a highlight. Hot tub towels were provided. When I tell you that the key to a good nights sleep is enjoying the hot tub & then cozying up next to the warm pellet stove in this little cabin, I truly mean it. It's good for the soul. The property is beautifully surrounded by trees and is very private. There wasn't a day that went by where we didn’t spot multiple deer somewhere on the property. Our stay was in the winter & I have no doubt that it would be just as magical a stay during warmer weather too. We noticed that there is an area in the back that has a fire pit & chairs, with bistro lights strung up which I would assume makes for a beautiful summer evening. Moosehead Hideaway is so central to many of McCall’s beautiful attractions & we were able to walk to the center of town with shops & restaurants in about 15-20 minutes, enjoying the beauty along the way. We thoroughly enjoyed our time staying at Moosehead Hideaway & can’t wait to return to this dreamy little gem in McCall!

On the main level, you will find two living rooms, a dining room, a laundry room, a large bathroom with a soaker tub and separate shower as well as a king bedroom with patio access. There are 2 pellet stoves for your warmth and ambiance. Upstairs there is a master suite with an attached bathroom, as well as a separate bedroom with a full over full and another twin over twin bunkbed. In the upstairs hallway, between the two bedrooms, there is a half bath.Moosehead Hideaway is close to everything McCall has to offer! Less than a five minute drive to downtown shops, restaurants and entertainment and less than five minutes to a nature walk in Ponderosa Park. Better yet, bring your bikes and cycle or just pat the pavers in your walking shoes – close to Davis Beach, Legacy Park and the Alpine Playhouse!
During the winter months, make that five minutes drive to dozens of Nordic trails or backcountry snowmobile access. Walk to Winter Carnival sculptures, bonfire, and fireworks!

Charming & Cozy Cabin W/ Hot Tub!
Creat cabin for our roommate reunion!
What a wonderful cabin for reunnioning! We thoroughly enjoyed this comfortable cabin as a location for our college roommate reunions (Our first in 40 years) !> Communications with owners was welcoming and responsive. There is plenty of room for a few families to sleep comfortably with new comfortable mattress throughout, and all bedding supplied. Us ladies even found the kid’s bunk bed room to be very comfortable...and fun! The kitchen is well stocked, the bathrooms are clean & updated with several areas to shower. We enjoyed daily walks from the cabin to trails around the lake, and through forested and to beach areas. The quaint town is close with plenty of shops, restaurants and lake views & activities. Also, grocery and drug stores are convenient and close by. Our stay was in October, during sunny, but crisp fall weather. The entire cabin heated quickly with a pellet stove (with pellets supplied) and remained comfortable throughout our stay. The back yard hot tub. Patio and firepit are a definite plus. It is peaceful, with privacy, and the feel of being on the edge of a forest, even though not remote, and located in a mountain neighborhood. I have nothing but great things to say about our stay here. I hope to come back soon, this time with family & grandkids!
McCall McCozy!
Had the moose-t wonderful time at the Moosehead Hideaway! This clean and comfortable cabin is ideally situated on a quiet street, but conveniently close to the gorgeous lake, parks, and town (how many times did we run to the store for "one more thing"? The upscale Albertsons is a bonus!) ...and DON'T FORGET THE HOT TUB! Five stars!
Great Cabin In Incredible Location!
We recently stayed at this cabin with my family and had an amazing time! McCall has so many fun activities to offer in the summer and the location of this cabin was absolutely perfect! It is nestled in on a street that has very little traffic and is super close to the lake and downtown. We were able to leave our cars parked and walk to both the beach and to downtown to grab some food. It felt like the perfect distance from town to be able to walk, but still be away from traffic and any crowds. Davis Beach, the nearby public beach, is a great place to play in the water and is very kid-friendly! Ponderosa Park is very close as well.l Aside from the location, the actual cabin and amenities made our stay an excellent vacation. The porch behind the home has a hot tub that we used almost every night and the yard is very secluded and private, surrounded by mature pines. The back porch and hot tub is great for relaxing after long days playing in McCall. Additionally, there is a fire pit that we used for S'mores several times. We loved being able to eat outside and enjoy the crisp air in the private back yard. Inside the cabin, we were pleased with everything that was provided, from a fully stocked kitchen, to the bathrooms being clean and stocked, to towels for the bathrooms and hot tub! There are also several smart TVs throughout the house in different rooms, which the kids loved. Overall, I highly recommend "Moosehead Hideaway." It had a perfect blend of location, amenities, and being very updated. I hope to stay here the next time I make it to McCall!
